You are a classic cross country person that has done sporty skiing in ski resorts. You would like to have more from your great hobby.

Esko Adventures' trips will show you the best parts of the arctic wild. Large part of the trip is quiet untouched nature without other people. Just beautiful wild with good company. And the best is that you can enjoy it all with light equipment on a private classic track.

We will be far into the wild so respect to the nature & weather is essential. A paradise day might change to a storm that will remind us how small we are. Beware: these trips might change the way you think about life.

The tours are arranged to one of the wildest areas; Muotkatunturit. We will ski as a team and make sure that nobody gets lost. The snowmobile guide will transport the gear, make the classic track and prepare the breaks and camp sites with your kind help. Meals are important so they will be rich. The overnight places are simple log huts without electricity or cabins with electricity. Depending on how much you wish to ski during days we can also do some fishing.

The skiing track will go thru various sceneries: lakeside, rivers, swamps, old pine forests, mountain birch forests and on the top, tundra with great sights to all directions. It is likely that we will not see any other people during the tour but lots of animal tracks and maybe those shy arctic animals too.

It would be good to have your own personal skiing outwear & sleeping bag, we will support everything else. It is possible to rent personal gear also from us.

Fjord horses are tough workers and due to calm temperament they are also easy to cope with in wild terrain. Northern Lapland´s wild nature offers great possibilities for horse adventures both in the summer and in the winter.

A horse can go on difficult terrain. It lets you to raise your head and observe the beautiful nature surrounding you. An advantage too is close contact to a wise animal.

Winter offers great possibilities to make the adventure even further in 1-2 person´s sleds: swamps and lakes are frozen and possible to cross.

These trips are perfect nature riding options when you have at least a little bit experience of horse back riding and you are over 13 years old. The horses are calm but can sometimes be stubborn :-)

Trips vary from 1 day to 2 weeks expeditions. Overnights in cabins or in transportable jurttas. Beware: these trips might change the way you think about life.

Inari has a good variety of rivers those have been used for fishing, moving from place to place and to move logs. Today we can enjoy them for refreshment and in my opinion a canoe or kayak is the best gear to move along rivers. They are quiet, close to the water and easy to move. With a canoe we can observe the animals also closer. They do not usually understand how something can float so quiet
